==Explanation==
Cueball is the {{w|Best_man|best man}} at Megan and an unnamed man's wedding.
He makes the usual speech about how he met Megan, with the twist that instead of
ending his speech on the note of "dude, this is one of my best friends you're
marrying here, and you're really lucky to have her. Treat her well", he ends it
on the bitter note that Megan, being married, will never fall in love with an
anonymous stranger.

He then gets defensive when the party gets understandably annoyed at him for
making his speech the way he did, noting that they asked him to make the toast,
and that he's within his rights to say whatever he wants in it. The title text
continues with this, with Cueball noting that the groom didn't know the story.
Statements such as this are often made after telling a shocking story that
explains one's position on things or relationship with people.

==Transcript==
[Dark scene shown, with Cueball and Megan sitting in the moonlight let in by the only window.]
Megan and I first met at a party at her sister's.
We hit it off, opened up, shared secrets, and talked about everything. Around us, the party waned, but we hid from sleep together, talking through the deepest hours of the night.
The dawn found us curled up on a couch, asleep but still together.
That experience, connecting with a stranger and falling recklessly in love is one of life's greatest joys.
And now that you're married, you'll never experience it again.
It's the price you pay for everlasting love. It's a small one, but I hope it stings a little.
Anyway, I wish you and Megan the best.
...Hey, man, you ASKED me to do a toast.

The title text summarises this, by noting that by having the argument on the
}}

==Explanation==
As the comic explains, the {{w|Voynich Manuscript}} is a very detailed book written in an unknown script, describing plants and recipes, most of which lack a real-world analog. Over the past few decades, linguists and cryptographers have unsuccessfully attempted to decode the book.

{{w|Dungeons and Dragons}} is a fantasy role-playing game with extremely detailed descriptions of fantastical worlds.

After being shown the Manuscript for the first time by Megan, Cueball argues that it should be obvious that it's just an ancient Dungeons and Dragons rulebook, seeing as human tendency to invent fantastical worlds must have also existed in the past.

After concluding this, the title text then asks, shocked, how Megan got her hands on the original manuscript, and then suggests playing Druids and Dicotyledons, presumably the game defined by the manuscript.

:Megan: This is the Voynich manuscript -- a book, allegedly 500 years old, written in an unrecognized script. It's some kind of visual encyclopedia of imaginary plants and undeciphered "recipes".

:[Cueball opens the book.]
:Megan: It could be a hoax, a lost language, a cipher, an alien text, glossolatia -- no one knows.
:Cueball: No one? But it's obvious.

:Megan: ...Obvious? Linguists and cryptographers have been stumped for decades.
:Cueball: They forget. Human nature doesn't change.

:Cueball: Just imagine someone found a book from <u>our</u> time, full of lists, illustrations, tables, and long, dry descriptions of nonexistent worlds written in an invented language. What have they found?

==Explanation==
{{w|Google_Maps|Google Maps}} is a web mapping service application, which among
other things, offers a route planner. The comic pokes fun at Google Maps for
occasionally giving suboptimal directions, taking it to the logical extreme of
giving directions that resemble the plot of a badly-scripted horror/action
movie.

Luckily Cueball's brother realizes that the directions are weird when he notices
that they're supposed to take a ferry after midnight. However, the title text
implies that despite the bizzareness of the directions, the brothers still took
them.

}}

==Explanation==
A {{w|cantenna}} is an antenna made from a can, in this case a {{w|pringles}}
can. Cueball is pointing his cantenna to the neighbors across the road, which,
as he says, will allow him to connect to the {{w|wifi}} network across the road.

Megan points out that the neighbors themselves don't have Internet access, to
which Cueball answers that he thinks that the neighbors will get hooked up to
the Internet first.

The narrator notes that very little will stop geeks trying to get Internet in
a new appartment.

The title text continues this theme of connecting to other people's networks,
noting that we should have a holiday in honour of those people who don't bother
reconfiguring their Linksys routers (thus leaving them with the default name of
'linksys'), which allows other people to connect to those networks very easily,
as the default password is well-known.
{{w|Jurassic_Park_(franchise)|Jurassic Park}} is a series of books and films
centering on a disastrous attempt to create a theme park of cloned dinosaurs.
In particular, the park scientists give the dinosaurs {{w|lysine}} deficiency as
a failsafe measure, so that if some dinosaur were to escape, it wouldn't be able
to survive in the wild (In practice, lysine can be easily be obtained by eating
Megan comments that Cueball is force-feeding their child so many sugary drinks
that the child runs the risk of contracting {{w|diabetes}}. Cueball responds
that that is the plan, since if anything were to go wrong, they'll just have to
this is precisely the approach used in Jurassic Park.

The title text continues the theme, noting that having children is basically one
big genetic experiment, and that Cueball is experimenting responsibly, thinking
ahead as to the possible consequences of his experiment.
==Explanation==
Cueball notices that if you draw enough on an {{w|Etch_A_Sketch|Etch-a-Sketch}},
the aluminum powder in it gets removed from the screen, allowing one to see the
interior of the device (as seen
[http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/78/EtchASketch_Inside_Shown.jpg here]).

Cueball then proceeds to clear a window into the interior of the device, which
shows him that there's a little girl inside the device, whose job is being the
stylus for the Etch-a-Sketch. She suggest that they be friends, and little
hearts pop up.

We then proceed to see that this was just a fantasy, and that in fact, the
drawings get drawn by a stylus moving on two rods inside the Etch-a-Sketch.
Sighing, Cueball proceeds to shake the Etch-a-Sketch, to draw something else.

The title text notes that the mysteries surrounding us are much more boring than
we dream they are.
detailed book written in an unknown script, describing plants and recipes, most
of which lack a real-world analog. Over the past few decades, linguists and
cryptographers have unsuccessfully attempted to decode the book.

{{w|Dungeons_%26_Dragons|Dungeons and Dragons}} is a fantasy role-playing game
with extremely detailed descriptions of fantastical worlds.

After being shown the Manuscript for the first time by Megan, Cueball argues
that it should be obvious that it's just an ancient Dungeons and Dragons
rulebook, seeing as human tendency to invent fantastical worlds must have also
existed in the past.

After concluding this, the title text then asks, shocked, how Megan got her
hands on the original manuscript, and then suggests playing Druids and
Dicotyledons, presumably the game defined by the manuscript.
