In this comic, Randall suggests that due to an obscure law, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has to do a report if a song is downloaded to a flight data recorder. In this instance, the song used is Free Fallin by Tom Petty. The NTSB issues reports on incidents involving airplanes. In this comic, the lyrics of the song are used to describe the actions of the incident aircraft over northern Los Angeles County, California.

The title text refers to the song "Crash Into Me".
