[[Cueball]] explains to [[White Hat]] which words he often spells or mispronounces wrong, creating metahumor, since the words he has trouble with are correctly used in sentences which also use that word outside of quote marks.

''[https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/misspell Misspell]'' and ''[https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/mispronunciation Mispronunciation]'' are both misspelled quite often (although not in this comic!) Misspell is quite commonly misspelled as ''mispell'' or ''miss-spell''. (There is, however, an argument that ''[https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/misspelled misspelled]'' should always be written ''mispelled'' since if it isn't mispelled, then it isn't mispelled).

Cueball also refers to the fact that he mispronounces ''mispronunciation''. These statements are both metahumor, as ''misspell'' means to write incorrectly and ''mispronunciation'' means a wrong pattern of speaking.

The punchline comes when Cueball tells that the epitome of mispronunciation is the the way Cueball pronounce ''[https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/epitome epitome]'' (which is pronounced in four syllables, uh-PIH-tuh-mee /ɪˈpɪtəmi/). This is also metahumor, as epitome refers to a very good or perfect example. Thus Cueball shows the epitome of mispronunciation when he incorrectly pronounces ''epitome''.

The title text explains Cueball's mispronunciation of epitome, which he says as "EPPY-tome" (/ˈɛpɪtoʊm/). It also explains how he pronounces ''[https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/EpiPen EpiPen]'' (a trademark for a type of {{w|Epinephrine autoinjector}}) as "uh-PIE-pen" instead of the standard pronunciation of "EPPY-pen".
