19th, 2020, in order to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the crash of Turkish Airlines Flight 452. The creator and current owner of the website is (((soot))). It has 17 boards, which is way too fucking many, but the majority of its activity is on the soyjak board /soy/, which usually gets multiple posts every hour. A VPN or Tor can be used for privacy or ban evasion since public IPs are not banned from posting, though you will still be tracked thanks to (((SOOT))) being a world leader in datamining technology.

Background

According to soot, he created the imageboard "as a simple joke", and did not expect it to go far.

Issues with CSAM

The party has long struggled with Child Sexual Abuse Material being uploaded, and has even on several occassions caused the soyjak.party to go down. In turn, soot has done what he can to combat its spread. The primary uploaders of CSAM to the 'party are primarily unknown, but they commonly use kuz as a scapegoat to cover their tracks.

Some potential suggestions are: The Cirno spammer, p#blm, and the raging swede.

Demise

On 9 January, 2022, the sharty was shut down to huge CP spam waves. On 10 January, it was revived. Just a few days later, on January 13th, the site was once again shut down, this time permanently, and with no hope of coming back. Soot said "its over". When our reporters asked "Is it really over?", all soot had to say was: "it's unequivocally, completely, and utterly over".

But thankfully the timelines shifted shortly thereafter and on January 14th it returned with some bugs as soot transferred the site to a new host.

However, as of 23rd of Janurary 2022 the sharty is down again. This time, like the last time, it's gone forever.

Although it is back again. It remains to be seen how many more times soot will have to take down the site before the CP problem is fixed.
Culture
Soyjak.party has a thriving and enlightened culture cultivated by its many fine users. While the community often unites, it sometimes has dramatic disagreements, as can be seen in the Soyvil War.

Many schisms have formed in soyjak.party's community over a diverse range of issues such as Islam, Soyjak variants, and Soot's oversight of the website.

Moderation

None, as has been made apparent by the never-ending stream of child porn threads allowed to stay up for hours at a time, resulting in the shuttering of the site twice within a week.

Judging from my experience when I first encountered proofs in math classes (or my general experience from math classes), the teacher is going to write down a "proof" which makes absolutely no sense to students and is also never explained in a way that actually makes them understand. Instead, they are just going to use "dark magic" and write what seems to be completely senseless to students.
| image = pyramid_honey.png
| titletext = They CLAIM honey was found in the chambers under the pyramids, but this conspiracy goes all the way to the TOP, where the GIANT EYE is!
}}

Explanation
Bee honey is a food item with natural antimicrobial properties. It can remain unspoiled for a person's entire lifetime, making it practically nonperishable for ordinary consumers. It is frequently claimed that archaeologists have found jars of honey that have been well-preserved for thousands of years in ancient tombs. The claims are generally assertions which may point to other similar assertions as supporting evidence but do not provide specific details, such as the identity of the actual tombs where such jars have been found, nor the names of the archaeologists who have affirmed finding such jars. The commonality of the assertion, however, leads some people to claim that honey's shelf life is "infinite", which is a much stronger claim which would not be supported by the assertion even if it is shown to be factual.

In the comic, Cueball tells Megan about an article on Smithsonian Magazine (presumably this one) that claims honey has an infinite shelf life. The article links to a book which makes the assertion of such findings but does not provide factual support of the findings. Megan thinks the sources of the article are wrong and wants to refute it. Black Hat, upon hearing Megan's claim that the Smithsonian Magazine's source is wrong, immediately decides to spread it on the Internet without giving Megan a chance explain any further.

Black Hat's actions are clearly premature, since he has not heard any evidence to back up the claim and does not understand the nuances of Megan's position. Presumably, the best he can do would be to parrot what he has heard from Megan, without any understanding or critical thinking on his part. Due to his lack of understanding, he may even interject his own ideas (ones Megan never believed nor stated) into his posts. These are all consistent with him calling himself "pyramid honey truther". The word truther refers to people who reject established facts and instead choose to believe in conspiracies, like people who claim the moon landing never happened or people who believe the US government is behind the 9/11 attacks. This turns Megan, who likely has a reasonable and well-justified position, unwillingly into the source of conspiracy theories.

The alt-text refers to the Eye of Providence, a symbol of an eye at the top of a pyramid, found on US currency.

This comic is likely a satire of the stereotypical internet mindset, and plays up the frequent confusion between legitimate scientific scepticism, where unsupported claims are rejected, and conspiracy-theory faux-scepticism, where legitimate evidence is rejected because it does not support a specific viewpoint.

:Black hat: Time to start a Facebook group and post a bunch of all-caps comments everywhere.
:Cueball: This could have gone better.
Regarding the title text, elbow dysplasia is something that genetic testing might find a susceptibility to in dogs, but parvo (canine parvovirus) is a viral infection and heartworms and mange are both parasites. I'm only beginning my veterinary studies so it's possible I'm speaking in ignorance but I've never heard of any genetic factors that make one dog more or less susceptible to any of the latter three than another dog. Generally speaking, all dog owners are advised to get their dogs vaccinated against parvo and kept on a heartworm preventive treatment such as ivermectin (Heartgard and other brands). Ie., these are blanket prevention strategies recommended for all dogs and no attempt is typically made to ascertain susceptibility level before recommending these treatments.

Of course, Randall is writing a comic intended for mass consumption and it's possible he wanted to include some canine ailments that would be more commonly recognized rather than just strictly listing congenital ailments of dogs like entropion or brachycephalic syndrome, which might have caused confusion and ruined the joke. --(I don't have an account yet) 108.162.210.178
Just because a disease is infectious doesn't mean there can't be breed dispositions. For example, parvo in GSDs. I tend to see lots of demodectic mange in bull breeds too. This can be due to factors, such as genetic immune deficiency or particular types of skin/hair which can be inherited 198.41.239.32
:I was the editor that made the original explanation. I never intended my word to be the final say; if anything, I was expecting the opposite, since I'm not educated at all in those fields. Regarding the link in parvo, I found this study, which starts that Spaniels are the most susceptible to parvo-enteritis. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3003015 173.245.52.74 14:57, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
:That effectively puts Pierre Paul Broca in the wrong, from a genetic POV. More specifically his theory that the main difference between humans and primates stem from their understanding of language, something that also relates to Wernickes and Brocas areas of the brain. Obviously animals have language albeit simpler. As for testing the difference between human and animal... with blood tests this is simple, because human blood contains some unique factors. But when it comes to DNA there may be no obvious telltale signs, which would mean only a computer would be able to spot the difference. If that's true it would explain why the lab doesn't run such a test. Todor (talk) 00:42, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
I certainly do not know enough about genetics to edit the explanation nor comment substantively, but elsewhere on the web I've seen that humans' DNA is 82% "homologous" with dogs, and 60% with fruit flies! Presumably this reflects the difference between "homologous" and "shared"? As a non-scientist, 5% does 'feel' sorta low.
