-:It's a 'Merkin comic by a 'Merkin author, the standard is to use americanized spellings (at least in Explanations/etc ...contributions here in Talk can be anglicised if the author is rightpondian; just as we don't tend to correct anyone's actual typos, either, for most circumstances). Of course, some of us learnt to spell by different dictionaries than Webster's and may not realise(/realize?) they're even subconciously spelt(spelled) it the Commonwealth/most-bits-of-non-US-anglosphere way.
