 :: It would make a certain amount of sense to include a link to the Wikidata entity from each of our explanation pages.  This would be roughly analogous to the "Wikidata item" link you can see on every Wikipedia page.  It would be the inverse to the "explain xkcd ID" link you can find on the Wikidata page for every xkcd comic.  But I'm not sure where the link would actually go on one of our comic explanation pages.  One possibility would be the infobox — except that we don't have infoboxes.  Another possibility would be the left sidebar, except that I don't know how to go about actually putting it there, or coding it for each page.

-i'm of mixed opinion. on the one hand, the joke obviously refers to the explanations, not the transcripts, and it's sarcastic as well. we aren't genuinely saying you're stupid because you've never seen ''firefly''. on the other hand, there's been concerns about the word "dumb" lately, and if those stand the test of time it'd be best to change it ''before'' it starts {{36:_Scientists|looking really bad}}. on the one hand, most of the suggestions don't seem worth it since they're not very funny. on the other hand, "some comics may be funnier than they appear" is punchy and pretty good. on the one hand, the tagline's been a part of the site for a while and it feels like a part of its identity... but that's way too many hands for one person to have. I suspect that it just was assumed as default and everyone understands that a discussion of "artificial intelligence" can be refered to as "AI", there, but wouldn't complain about any variation other than "ai". ;) Whether umbrella title or 'just words' is used here... I don't think it matters (i.e. no change needed, meaning least fuss in not 'correctiny' it in all the places it would need to be).
