After the update to Apple {{w|IOS_11#11.1|iOS 11.1}}, many (though not all) users suffered from a strange bug, where the autocorrection changed any input of the single lowercase letter "i" to "A" followed by one of several Unicode symbols (either an exclamation point or a question mark in a circle).
