This series began with Cursed Connectors #187, 2493: Dual USB-C, in July 2021. With the high number given to the first comics connector, it seemed obviously that Randall would make this into a new series. And that already happen two comics later with the second installment "Cursed Connectors #65": 2495: Universal Seat Belt.

This also seemed likely since Randall had already made a similar series, Bad Map Projections, which also uses a similar number system, with the first comic already beginning with a high number for the first bad projection, #107. Similarly to this series the second projection had a lower number than the first (#79).

However, these connectors are not real connectors. But what the curse means is uncertain. Probably just means that they are not functional, and thus cursed. A jab at all the different connectors in existence, and how they often break down, maybe because people try to jam them into the wrong sockets because they have so many different types.

The connectors get a number, which if taken seriously would mean there are at least 187 cursed connectors. So far they have the following numbers (listed in number order rather than release order; the first two were released in the opposite order).

#65: Universal Seat Belt
#187: Dual USB-C

This may give promise of several more comics with cursed connectors.
