In my childhood dialect, "give" is very weakly voiced and the hard-G gif pronunciation is very similar.  I now voice it much more strongly, but that question took me back to growing up in Merseyside, England. [[User:Po8crg|Po8crg]] ([[User talk:Po8crg|talk]]) 13:03, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
