Blast noises can impact severely on theRing Ease inner ear and may cause permanent hearing loss by perforating the ear drum or if less severe, causing damage to the hair cells, temporary hearing loss may ensue followed by permanent or temporary tinnitus. While loud noises from machinery or from loud music will not perforate the ear drum they can do permanent damage to the hair cells in the inner ear leading to reduced hearing and tinnitus or buzzing ears syndrome.
Perhaps the only consistent Tinnitus symptom described is that the condition involves a noise with no external source. The noise is described as either loud or soft and it may be present constantly or it may come and go. Tinnitus is generally what is called a subjective condition because no one else can hear the noises described.
The types of noises described by those who experience Tinnitus vary radically. Frequently the noise is described as a ringing or buzzing noise however, there are many other sounds with Tinnitus. Some people describe the noises as whining, creaking, and screaming or even a whistling noise. However, what is consistent is that the noise has no apparent external cause.
