: License are not for the updates.  Licenses are to not be committing copyright violation, and thus to be legal.  --Divad27182 (talk) 16:41, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

::I believe Microsoft's MSDN licenses allow for setting up development/testing environments, and would be what I might use if I was setting something like this up for personal reasons, but still had enough money to buy a 103" flat-panel display... :::This comic is not about Microsoft licences, it's just about an experiment at an isolated network exposed to many violent viruses effecting only Microsoft systems. That Linux/MAC prediction is still not explained: So this is incomplete.--Dgbrt (talk) 21:03, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

;A mention of WecanHastheTechnology?

Hey, perhaps we should mention something about the site http://wecan.hasthe.technology? Someone actually set up a system like this (in the FAQ, it was actually stated as being inspired by this comic.) Although, I suppose it's understandable (for security purposes) not to link to external untrusted sites. 173.245.56.205

^- Sorry to say, but the site is down and the reddit is dead for two years now. It would be fun to find something like a manual to rebuild this though~

Dang, now I want this. Imagine it: MEMZ is going on one VM, and suddenly FWOOSH! A ransomware attacks a large area of the network as another virus flashes lights in the corner. 172.68.132.11 00:27, 13 July 2020 (UTC)

The wayback machine still has the archives of it, and they redirect to https://computernewb.com/collab-vm/ (which is still up)--Arandomperson (talk) 02:15, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

;Mentioning Blaster and Welchia

Welchia was a worm that attempts to delete Blaster before actually doing its thing -- it would also install security patches to prevent Blaster infection in the future. I think Randall included these two viruses deliberately.
