A set of draft rules that could eventually be promoted to real rules.

How to deal with text from xkcd[edit]

Text from xkcd should generally be treated as immutable. This means that title text should not be changed, it should be left in the form it is on the xkcd comic page.

The transcript is a different matter, in some cases the transcript is incomplete, in which case it should be expanded to be complete. The transcript is generally not available when the comic is published so, in many cases users decide to write transcripts for comics. As much as this is an aid to the blind be sure to go back and get the official transcript from xkcd itself when it is available, as the transcript is sometimes the only way to resolve minute issues that people have brought up as a point of contention, and we prefer fewer useless flamewars.
