The {{template|dict}} addition looks ok, though I'll probably still be using the existing {{template|wiktionary}} one, myself, as it's fairly obvious what-and-where it deals with in the editing source. I wouldn't delete it, just (after checking for full equivalence, as I said) making yours a #REDIRECT to the other. - I'm not going to complain about it. The number of times I've known there's a template for something and had to scan the whole list to find out what it's actually called (or cased as...) is uncountable. I wouldn't delete it, just (after checking for full equivalence, as I said) making yours a #REDIRECT to the other. Or vice-versa, but I would prefer for the often-used one to remain the primary for various reasons.
- Ok, so "wiktionary" is more to type than "dict" (and too easy to accidentally and wrongly reduce to just {{w}} for an accidental wikipedia quick-link - been there, done that!) but it's how I'd do it.
