This is an interactive comic to celebrate Munroe's book Thing Explainer, which had just released. In it, you fly a hoverboard that can move left and right, as well as jump without needing to be on the ground. It appears to be a simple Pac-Man style game about collecting 17 coins as fast as possible in a maze, but you can fly over the walls that barricade the player in to see a much bigger world with lots of humor and occasional coins. It has a narrative, but it is quite subtle and would take a full exploration of the world to understand. The player can get up to 169 coins in this world.
