You can categorize pages with a non-existent category and MediaWiki will create a default page (still red linked) for the category. We try not to create empty categories until they have explanations that fall into that category. I try to hold off creating categories until I have at least two definite pages that go into it. Thus, my post in the Coordination Community Portal. [[User:Lcarsos|lcarsos]] ([[User talk:Lcarsos|talk]]) 20:04, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

::Sorry, that message has pretty much become a reflex since I started editing here. People get a little over-zealous about categorization here. Category pages[edit]

You can categorize pages with a non-existent category and MediaWiki will create a default page (still red linked) for the category. We try not to create empty categories until they have explanations that fall into that category. I try to hold off creating categories until I have at least two definite pages that go into it. Thus, my post in the Coordination Community Portal. lcarsos (talk) 20:04, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
