In this comic, Randall thanks his readers for supporting him through his 1000th comic, a large round number fit to be a milestone. Poking fun at this, Cueball (The biggest Cueball), says that there are only 24 comics to go until a big round number milestone, because 1024 is 2 to the power of 10, or 1000000000 in binary. This is funny because he is ignoring the milestone of 1000, which is 10 to the power of 3, a more relevant milestone to humans and xkcd characters who use the decimal system. Randall also thanks his readers for making him feel less alone in the title text.
