Hello! This is my talk page! Please DON'T use it to talk about a page I just made - use that pages talk page. B for brain (talk) 18:25, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

Ah, good, you corrected your main page. I edited-conflicted, as you discovered the correct format by the time I fit the very long comment I wanted into the comment-space available, namely:

Helping out. Apologies if it's wrong. [[]] is for 'internal/wikiverse' linking (pipe-delimit with subsequent text), [] is for URLs (space then 'text'), which need to be recognisable so I also had to add the "https://". Didn't check it, might need "www."!!

...Anyway, you changed it pretty much as you needed to, even adding that "www." that I was also worried about. Anyway, hello there. And might look at it later. ;) 172.71.242.67 18:46, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

The reason it cuts off is the pipe-symbol in "|X|²"... it's the 'parameter delimiter' invoked in the {{incomplete}}. I'm not sure right now how to 'escape' a literal pipe symbol (I'd have to look it up), but I suppose using an alternate 'vertical bar' specifically for the modulus notation (if there is one) could have made it come out without thinking that (stage of) display text was officially over. 172.70.85.251 20:12, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

But it was there before and it didn't do anything weird. B for brain (talk) 10:45, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
Have a look at the markup, and you'll see that it's <nowiki>ed... That's generally how to 'escape' the character and make it literal (to above editor), and one can individually surround each and every vertical-pipe instead of the whole thing (though that's messier than "whateve\r othe\r \replacements" you'd do with escape-characters in other common coding situations, admitedly). But not really surprising that you missed it.
BTW, spent ages looking for the incorrect "'s" (or an incorrectly not-"'s") for your comment Explanation: corrected the word "and" 's spelling. (i.e. you corrected the(/some) word (which happened to be "and"), and (in addition) some <apostrope-S>-related spelling. Finally realised there was a rogue space in there (it wasn't ''and'' with emphasis marks but "and" with quotes). I had a little chuckle at my misreading, there. Thought it'd entertain you to know, while I'm here. Probably wasn't worth mentioning. (I can see why you might not have wanted to write <"and"'s>, even.) But, hey..! 172.69.194.70 12:28, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
Yeah - just copy-pasted the text that shows up in the incomplete tag in the explaination. B for brain (talk) 12:35, 11 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi, again... Just inviting you to clarify if the recent page shouldn't be changed/renamed with "Philosophy". Either say why (and add a comment, perhaps <!-- in markup -->) or make all the appropriate page changes, including renaming the page. I don't want to ruin an intentional joke, but on the off-chance that it isn't I thought I'd say this... 172.71.178.147 13:15, 11 November 2023 (UTC)

Sorry - just thought it was spelt that way B for brain (talk) 19:02, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
