==Explanation==

In a product experiment, two groups of people test a certain pill or lotion. One group is given the new product while the second group (the control group) is given a placebo. LSD is a recreational drug which, according to Wikipedia, is more enjoyable when given voluntarily than when unexpectedly. It can cause hallucinations and distortions in time and space. In the comic above, the woman is experiencing giant spiders in her hallucinations.

The title text says the placebo and the LSD produce the same effects because the narrator is giving LSD along with the placebo.
