Gender Merge?

Instead of Male, Female, and Minor, perhaps it should simply be Major and Minor? - Frankie (talk) 15:37, 11 January 2013 (UTC)

Also, suggestions for a consistent sort order:

Frequency: list1 = Cueball | Megan | Black Hat | Danish | Beret Guy | Ponytail | White Hat

Alphabet: list1 = Beret Guy | Black Hat | Cueball | Danish | Megan | Ponytail | White Hat

Chimeric: list1 = Cueball | Beret Guy | Black Hat | Danish | Megan | Ponytail | White Hat

Reorder

Probably should reorder the categories by appearances for the ease of use. I already did it for the major characters. Forrest (talk)15:57, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

Make Hairbun a major character

I think we should make Hairbun a major character. As of 3237: Husband and Wife (the most recent comic), Hairbun has 103 appearances, only 6 less than Beret Guy, the least commonly appearing major character. Hairbun is the most commonly appearing minor character. We should either make her a major character or make Beret Guy a minor character. - YZ100 (talk) 20:20, 25 April 2026 (UTC)

Number of appearances doesn't necessarily imply 'impact'... I would still say she's more in the 'supporting cast', far more so than Beret Guy who tends to be a focus (or one of the focuses) of his appearances. But that's just my considered opinion, in passing, not a vote either way. 81.179.199.253 21:04, 25 April 2026 (UTC)

Superhero(es)?

Someone added a Category:Superheroes to various comics (without the means to make that category be valid). Someone else [1] undid that. (I was going to do some corrective intermediate changes to it, myself, but the I'm Not A Robot check just kept swirlying this morning, not letting me submit anything or even giving me any Captcha test... Here's hoping it's sorted by this afternoon. Well, obviously it is, or you wouldn't rigut now be reading this... But I digress.... (Yay... Straight past it this time!))

So, the question (put here, rather than on the Community Portal; as it would probably be worth a link, if not entire category-line, showing up somewhere in this navbox ...if it happens) is: is it a category (and associated hanging on blurb) that needs creating? Though I was going to suggest that "Category:Superheroes" maybe ought to be "Category:Comics containing superheroes", or just "Category:Superhero", for general naming consistency.

Or maybe another term: Given that Batman is a BadassNormal (in most cases!), I'm not sure that Superhero is an apt term. He may often be super-heroic, behind an unhealthy layer of dark and brooding cynicism (or campness), but he aint super. Even Etymology seems to have the (somehow-)Required Secondary Superpower of flight without resorting to tech-gimmicks (or occasionally being turned into something like Man-Bat, through exposure to thematic gene-splicing). Just a technicality, but worth considering before defaulting to Superhero(es) as the name.

It'd be nice to have a few viewpoints (at least on the first point) before someone just crash-creates the 'obvious' Category unilaterally. 82.132.236.127 15:27, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
