- In 2021 Randall made a comic, 2529: Unsolved Math Problems, about three categories of unsolved match problems. The last category was cursed, a recurrent theme on xkcd.
- At this time there was no reason to suspect this to become a series.
- But in 2025, almost four years later, a sequel was published, 3115: Unsolved Physics Problems, with the exact same setup with three similar categories, but now for unsolved physics problem. Thus making this into a comic series.
- Interesting to see if Randall someday continues this series with outer fields, but math and physics are his main fields of expertise.
