Kamala Harris is an American politician who is the 46th and current Vice President of the United States. She made history as the first ever female Vice President, and by that the highest ranking female in US History. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as the 27th DA of San Francisco from 2004 to 2001, the 32nd AG of California from 2011 to 2017, and in the US Senate, representing California from 2017 to 2021. As of August 2024, she is the Democratic candidate for the 2024 Presidential race. She is married to Doug Emhoff.
