Barrel was an early series of 5 comics, whose parts were randomly published during the first several dozen strips. The series features a character that is not consistent with what would quickly become the xkcd stick figure style. The character is in a barrel.
At some point Randall did create a page with a collection of all the Barrel comics. (as well as the first comic with the flying ferret: 20: Ferret, which is in it's own way also a part of the Barrel series). This page can still be seen on a web archive: The Boy and his Barrel.
